Every 29th of the month at Urgent Paradise, we invite the public to put out a call for abundance, while cooking and host a community dinner. With a gnocchi dish served with a guest artist's sauce, we gather in the gallery to share a simple meal prepared with love and resistance.
The tradition of gnocchi of abundance comes from the culinary crossroads of colonization between Italian settlers-migrants in Argentina and Uruguay. The idea is to cook a meal with noble ingredients before receiving the salary at the end of the month, to call abundance and money.
As part of this project, different actions took place at each meal: performative readings, publications launch, openings, etc.
