“Herida” is an installation composed of a mural, a risograph and a tapestry, where red and threads are the protagonists.
The installation shows on the walls of the room the word Herida (wound) that interacts with the tapestry composed of the poem “Wild Strawberries”, a poem that talks about the origin of strawberries and their colonial relationship with the north.
The third part of this work is the red risograph of a photograph taken in 2019 in Santiago de Chile, in one of the demonstrations of the revolt in the country. On the ground, ACAB is written with the remains of bullet shells fired by the police. The installation reflects and shouts that the violence from the north has always existed, carried and dragged by those who were colonized and by those who watch it from afar.
